Why Customer Service Matters

There are certain companies I hate dealing with: AT&T, Direct TV, shady home warranty people, etc…

Vista Print, however, is not one of them. For anyone looking to create their own brand for a business, event, or personalized gift, Vista Print is truly the way to go.

Case in point, I recently ordered two branded coffee mugs. The Mental Fitness logo was cut off slightly short. I emailed the company and received this response the next day:

“Hi Stephen,

I trust your day has been going good so far.

I am truly sorry to learn the logo on your mug is not showing in it’s entirety and I can understand your disappointment. I made the adjustment so the complete logo is showing and I will resend it to you, as I want to ensure you are fully satisfied.

In an effort to resolve this issue, I have processed an expedited replacement order for the 2 mugs at no additional cost to you. You can expect to receive it on or before the 8th of March.

Should you have any other concerns or questions, please feel free to reply directly to this email. Until then, have a wonderful day.”

It’s an interesting thing as I get older how much I look out for, and truly appreciate, great customer service.

The moral of the story of this: In business, mistakes happen. How you resolve those mistakes, however, determines whether a customer will bash your business and leave, or praise your business and stay for years.

As Mental Fitness grows, I hope to have the right people and systems in place to treat our clients every bit as good as Vista Print has treated me throughout the years.
