| We tell ourselves:
“I’ll speak up when I’m more confident.”
“I’ll try it when I feel ready.”
“I’ll take the risk when I’m not so afraid.”
Confidence doesn’t come before the action.
It comes because of the action.
(I love that line!)
The script goes something like this:
You do something uncomfortable.
You survive it.
You learn from it.
You do it again.
And eventually your brain starts saying:
“I’ve done hard things before. I can probably handle this too.”
That’s confidence. That’s resilience.
You see, resilience isn’t gained . from avoid pain, it’s built through leaning into doubt and fear.
Don’t wait until you’re confident to start.
Start—and give confidence a chance to catch up!
Action → Experience → Evidence → Confidence. |
